“On the Mat” begins 2012 with an hour-long interview with museum namesake Dan Gable. Gable, named the top sports figure in Iowa by Sports Illustrated, won a gold medal at the 1972 Olympics without surrendering a point. He went on to coach the University of Iowa wrestling team to 15 NCAA championships.
