Thompson is leading the local organizing committee for the 2016 NCAA wrestling championships in New York City. He is also involved with Titan Mercury Wrestling Club.
Creighton has been a high school wrestling coach in California and was a two-time NCAA Division II champion at Nebraska-Omaha.
