On Episode 7 of the Maryland Mat Chat, we visit with 2011 All-American Spencer Myers, a two-sport athlete at the University of Maryland.

Myers became the first true freshman in Maryland wrestling history to earn All-American honors back in 2011 at 285 pounds. Since, Myers has redshirted and made two more trips to the national championships.

This season, Myers changed things up a bit, opting to play football for the Terps during the fall and joining the wrestling program for his senior season at mid-year. Myers talks about the training and the competitive balance between the two sports and why he jumped finally decided to take the leap on to the gridiron.

Myers is looking to try to play football after his wrestling career is over, and if that doesn't work out, you might see him in that other realm of wrestling, in the WWE.
