When short-sighted administrations opt to cut opportunities for potential students, people get upset. When forward-thinking people decide that growing opportunities is the best course of action, we celebrate, especially in wrestling.
On Episode 430 of the Short Time Wrestling Podcast, we talk with Chasse Conque, Director of Athletics at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, or simply Little Rock, about the addition of varsity wrestling to the school's Division I athletics program.
The son of a coach, Conque is also one of the youngest ADs in the country, checking in at 34 years old. Conque talks about the role people like Greg Hatcher and Mike Moyer played in the drive to bring a Division I wrestling program to Arkansas and why it made sense at Little Rock.
Little Rock joins Presbyterian as two Division I schools that announced the addition of varsity wrestling to the roster of sports sponsored.
The Short Time Time Wrestling Podcast is proudly supported by Compound Clothing.
