Recent college graduate Derek St. John had a stellar career on the mats in Iowa City. First at West High in Iowa City then a few blocks down the street at the University of Iowa. St. John was introduced as the new assistant coach at North Dakota State University on July 7. St. John will join the a staff led by head coach Roger Kish and head assistant Manny Rivera — both former Minnesota Golden Gophers.
St. John explains his decision to enter coaching, whether or not he's going to go the freestyle route after getting situated in his new home and a number of other topics, including the ups and downs he dealt with during his career.
