NCAA wrestling champion Nick Ackerman and author Craig Sesker will be radio show guests this week.

“On the Mat” is a presentation of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum and can be heard live on the Internet at www.kcnzam.com or locally in Northeast Iowa each Wednesday from 5:00 – 6:00 PM Central time on AM 1650, The Fan. Feel free to e-mail radio@wrestlingmuseum.org with any questions or comments about the show. “On the Mat” is archived on themat.com.

Ackerman won the 174-pound wrestling championship at the 2001 NCAA Division III tournament. He also was the co-winner of the Dan Hodge Trophy that year, along with Cael Sanderson. Ackerman was a two-time All-American for Simpson College (IA) and now works for a prosthetics company in Davenport, Iowa.

Sesker is the communications manager at USA Wrestling and his articles can be found on themat.com. He is one of the top wrestling journalists in the nation and his first book, “Bobby Douglas, Life and Legacy of an American Wrestling Legend” has been for sale since March.
