Jordan Holm and Lee Roper to go ‘On the Mat’ this week
Jeff Bradley will host a special edition of “On the Mat” is this Wed., August 12. His featured guests are current Greco-Roman World team member Jordan Holm and new Northern Iowa assistant wrestling coach Lee Roper.
“On the Mat” is a presentation of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum. The show can be heard live on the Internet at 1650thefan.com or locally in Northeast Iowa each Wednesday at 5 p.m. Central on AM 1650, The Fan.
A former wrestler at the University of Northern Iowa, Holm will represent the United States at the Greco-Roman World Championships in Las Vegas on Sept. 9. He will compete at 187 pounds. Roper was recently hired as an assistant wrestling coach at the University of Northern Iowa and wrestled collegiately at Appalachian State. He's been part of running Compound Wrestling in Georgia.
